Dubbed "The Italian Tornado" by fellow musicians in Austin, Texas, Banzai took his harmonicas and moved to the States in the early 1990s from Torino, Italy. A veteran of Italian touring bands, festivals, radio shows and even two starring roles in films, Banzai spent his first several years in Texas playing with the Tony Redman Band. He has recorded with Eric Johnson, the Tony Redman Band, Dave Herrero and Roy Cox & the Blues Knights, among many others. In 2004 he joined guitarist John McVey, bassist Erin Jaimes and drummer Matt Sessions in John McVey & the Stumble.
